Tag Archives: Wisconsin State Capitol When I came into Melanie’s room at the Concourse Hotel in Madison there was a mini swarm of activity. She had just gotten her dress on and her bridesmaids were finishing up some final touches on it. I love the colors here – the warm light above the mirror and the blue from the window....  This was a fun little engagement shoot. Brandon and Sarah and I walked around the Capitol square area, revisiting some classic locations like the red doors at Grace Episcopal Church and the Capitol building, but we broke some new ground using some interesting streetscape elements, and we even wandered into Candinas Chocolatier. What an awesome...  I’ve seen many brides give their husbands-to-be gifts on their wedding day. Usually it’s a nice watch or some other manly jewelry. After their “first-sight” moment Laura gave Mike a Mr. Potato Head, which at first puzzled me a little, but then I remembered that Mike does research on spuds at the UW. Then it...  So obviously this wedding and the few that will be coming soon are well past due, but after Nissa’s birth I felt it was important to take the time I needed to devote to her and Valerie. Things are slowly starting to normalize a bit though, so I hope to be getting gradually back into...  I’m soooo looking forward to Abby and Brad’s wedding next June. They’re getting married at Lutsen Resort on the north shore of Lake Superior! Val and I couldn’t be happier to be traveling up there. That area is one of my favorite places to visit, and it will be nice to visit in the summer... |
